Top: Topshop // Skirt: River Island
Shoes: New Look // Necklace: MyNameNecklace
Crop tops are a Summer staple year after year for me. As soon as the sun starts to rear it’s beautiful rays I dig out all my summer pieces in anticipation of what will hopefully be a long, hot, sunny summer for us brits.
I got this gorgeous little embroidered crop top last year and due to over shopping on almost every occasion I have only just worn this for the first time! I know, I know, it’s very naughty that this beautiful top has been left on the rail, tags still attached, for over a year. It has a button up front and adjustable cami straps. It fits like a dream as it hangs perfectly and when worn with something high waisted it leaves just the right amount of skin on show.
I picked out my bright faux leather high waist skirt from River Island. You would have seen this skirt earlier on the year in a previous post but who says leather is only for winter. It’s bright colour and high waist make it a great little summer piece especially when worn with such a lightweight top, it balances each other out.
I kept the rest of the outfit simple so as not to drown out the embroidery detail and mix of textures. The shoes were a pair of old season New Look sandals and you can get similar to these every year from numerous places. Every girl should have a couple of pairs of simple sandals as they always come in handy for when you want to keep the focus on the outfit and don’t fancy being too fussy right down to ya toe-sies.

Cocktails and an amazing view!
