As you would have seen from the high street, Christmas was made for glitter, sequins and anything sparkly. I headed out on Christmas eve with the girls for a few drinks to celebrate Christmas and have a catch up before the family festivities began and you didn’t leave the house for at least 48 hours. I wanted to dress up a bit as it was Christmas Eve and if you can’t get dolled up a bit more than normal to head to the pub then when can you? I got this amazing glitter thread plunge bodysuit a few days earlier after seeing it look fab in a picture of someone else wearing it and with the help of a friend (thanks Kneller) tracking it down. The photos don’t really do it justice, it has a small diamond pattern all over which is stitched in silver metallic thread.

Whether it’s your office Christmas do, dinner parties or even just afterwork drinks with friends you will want to look your best. Everyone makes that extra special effort at Christmas time and theres always a whole lot of sparkle during the month of December. This dress is an absolute gem….literally! It has beautiful neck detail and the best bit is there is no need for any accessorising. The dress does all the work so it is the best option when you are in a hurry and need to throw something on without thinking about all the extras to go with it.Read More »

Keep It Monochrome

Monochrome never fails to date. It always looks simple but chic and you can rely on monochrome when you’re having one of those days, we’ve all had time and time again, when absolutely everything you try on looks hideous. Monochrome comes and goes in the fashion world and as a trend will continue to do so for the long foreseeable future. Items like black boots and fedoras just finish off a look so well in the winter. Boots mean that you can brave it and bare your legs but still keep toasty with warm socks and a pair of go-with-everything ankle boots. This cosy teddy coat is one of the warmest coats I’ve bought in a while. Missguided have really stepped up their coat game this year and that is where I have bought the majority of mine so far. It really does keep you super toasty and the colour goes with so much too.

Hands up if you love a pinny? I borrowed this cute denim dress from my best friend for a trip to Italy and then I was flying straight to Greece after. We were out shopping and I saw this dress in Topshop and was about to buy it when my friend Erin said she had it so to borrow hers instead. While I was wearing it in Italy I decided I liked it too much and needed it as a new addition to my wardrobe. So sat in a little Italian cafe watching the world go by I logged on and bought it. It was like a little present waiting for me on my arrival home. The only thing that bugged me a bit when I got mine was I ordered a size down from the one I borrowed but it was so much shorter than my friends. As I was away over a month I couldn’t return it. If I could buy it again I would get the tall version as that would be about the right length, the standard one is more like petite. Never mind, I can wear this with flat sandals in the summer and this also looks fab with tights so it will be taking me through the winter months too.

This is such a simple dress but it’s just gorgeous. I seem to have gravitated towards all kinds of burgundy pieces over the last few weeks and it’s fast becoming my winter shade but it’s also a great colour for the summer too as the golden glow sets it off perfectly. I love cami style dresses for summer anyway as they are so easy to wear, comfotable as well as chic but this one has the extra added detail of a low cut v back with a frill overlay. I didn’t wear a necklace beacause I had a little flash tattoo which you can see pictured below. I felt a necklace would have looked too much and the little gold lotus tattoo was a nice alternative.

Just a quick one today, I wanted to show you guys this cute little dress from In The Style. I got it as I saw it on another blogger and thought it was a simple dress just to quickly throw on in the evening with a little waist belt and some sandals. The back of the dress is gorgeous as it has a really low cut to it which makes it even more summer perfect. I love the double strap detail, with one being halterneck and the other two straps cami style, it’s something a little bit different. The dress is really floaty and comfortable, it has an A line shape which is why I added the belt to pull it in at the waist and create more shape.

Little White Dress

Forget the LBD, a fresh summer twist on the classic wardrobe staple is the LWD….little white dress! I got this very last minute (much like my last few blog posts, I had an unplanned late online spree) before I flew off to Italy and as I mentioned in my previous posts I didn’t have many fitted/bodycon pieces so when this little gem appeared on the Missguided new in section I didn’t hesitate to rehome it lovingly in my wardrobe. It is a nice lightweight crepe material, not too tight and not too hot in the Greek heatwave that was occuring. The criss cross strap and low v neck detail makes it a little more interesting than regular straight over cami straps.

An LBD is a much needed wardrobe staple for every girl, whether it’s a day time casual look or a lot more dressy like this little number; it’s something that every girl should have a few of in various styles to always turn to in their time of need. This was an absolute bargain busting £10 from Boohoo (via ASOS). It was a super last minute purchase when I saw how cheap it was so I just went for a 10 to be safe as I wasn’t sure of the sizing. Really I needed an 8 but had no time to exchange before I left the country so I just rolled with it. It is a bit on the big side but not so much that it’s unwearable. I love the wide set neck line, it’s a really flattering cut.

Summer Nights

Saturday night was upon us so that obviously means getting dolled up and hitting the town. I did a really last minute spree on Missguided which got delivered the day before I flew off to Italy and this dress was one of my purchases. I realised when packing that all my wardrobe consisted of was shift shapes and baggier styles, I didn’t own anything bodycon or figure hugging. I don’t like to stick to the same look all the time, it’s good to mix it up a bit so I set about finding a few Saturday night dresses I could snap up to hit the clubs in. This burgundy shade is a great colour to complement a summer golden glow and I also think it goes well with blonde hair too. I don’t have the Kardashian deriere unfortunately that this style of dress was made for but hey, we can’t have it all can we?
