You Can’t Live Without H2o

A human can go for more than three weeks without food (Mahatma Gandhi survived 21 days of complete starvation), but water is a different story. At least 60% of the adult body is made of it and every living cell in the body needs it to keep functioning. So there you have it, you cannot survive without water…..Micellar water that is!
Way back when I used to have to buy my Bioderma products from France and pay for expensive shipping just to get my hands on my number 1, can’t live without, beauty product. I have relatively suffered with my skin, starting from the age of 13 when I developed (as most hormonal teens do) acne. This acne covered my face, neck, chest and back. Due to it being incredibly sensitive I can’t use any harsh or abrasive products and even the smallest change in weather, skincare routine or even diet can cause it to flare up. I have to be extremely careful with the products I choose to put on it.

I had read about micellar water when it first started to emerge into the UK market through various blogs and magazines. After reading about this miracle product for long enough I decided to see what all the hype was about and purchased a bottle.

It changed my beauty game for life. I’ve tried absolutely everything (except the extreme of roaccutane) to no avail. I have to make sure even on the latest nights or no matter my possible tipsy state, I absolutely have to remove every scrap of make up or I pay for it dearly the day and week after! This wonder product makes it so easy. It lives on my dresser next to a stack of cotton pads and with about 3 pads and the water I can remove absolutely every last tiny bit of make up residue. It’s so gentle on the eyes too which I found to be a problem with other make up removers. It you got it in your eyes you’d be in for an uncomfortable few minutes. Not Bioderma, this stuff could honestly be mistaken for pure water. However, you must not put this to the test and try drinking it!!

It’s a formula comprised of cleansing oil molecules called ‘micelles’. Bioderma was the formula that sparked the trend and its name has been growing within the industry ever since. The micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they are able to draw out the impurities all without drying out your skin. The hydration helps to decrease oil gland activity which in turn helps acne prone skin. Since the cause of acne is over activity of the sebaceous glands.

The great news is that now this miracle product is available at Boots and is way more easily accessible. Bioderma have added a couple of variations to the line now aimed at slightly more sensitive or dry skin types. If you aren’t already using this this beauty market leader or are yet to try the micelles water hype (only if you’ve been living under a rock I presume) then pick up a bottle of this and you will never look back.
