So if you follow me on Instagram you will have seen that recently I flew off to Rome for a long weekend with my lovely boyfriend. Rome was one of the destinations on my never ending list of places to visit that had been on there a while, never getting that tick next to it. I finally got the chance to go and it certainly did not disappoint the travel bug I have inside of me.

After living away from home in a different country for many years I find that when I return to the UK, as much as I adore the place that will always be my home; I never truly feel ‘at home’ and can’t seem to place roots here and settle. It’s a hard battle to fight year after year and time and time again I find myself fleeing. Anyone else that has traveled or lived in a different location will understand, whether it’s as little as 3 months or stretches into years. I get SO excited when I get to explore a new location and I also get super sad when it’s time to leave. I find I can attach myself to new places quite easily, which can be quite detrimental…it’s definitely the daydreamer Piscies inside me.

This is going to be more photo heavy than usual – apologies in advance! I recently visited the beautiful city of Sorrento for the wedding of one of my oldest school friends. I fell head over heels in love with the place, it was impossible not to with the stunning scenery, fantastic food and warm welcoming Italian people. I have wanted to see some of Italy for a long time now so it didn’t take me very long to get my RSVP back to her with a big hell yes I’m attending! I wouldn’t have missed it of course, no matter where in the world it was. I asked my best friend and travel buddy if she would like to be my plus one and as I thought there was no hesitation in her answering. We got it all booked up and the countdown began. Read on to hear about my favourite places and the amazing food I had!

I got the opportunity step into my sightseeing shoes and pick from a list of London’s favourite tourist attractions as part of the Do More With Avios campaign. In case you don’t know much about Avios it’s a reward points scheme where you receive points for your everyday spends on groceries, petrol and even wine! You can then spend these points on holidays and experience vouchers! I picked the London Aquarium on the Southbank. I absolutely love aquariums, I find them so relaxing and peaceful! I hadn’t actually been to the Southbank one either so I was super excited.

I had to get ready earlier on this evening as we were going to a cliff top bar that over looks the beach and is probably one of the best sunset spots on the island. It gets pretty busy and since it was Sunday too there would be a lot of the locals there for drinks. This is the reason for my poofy hair which I had no time to style at all, it had been up until right before I took these pics which meant I had to just grin and bear it that it looked a mess here…apologies! This skirt has been on the blog before when I wore it for LFW, in a much colder climate may I also add. I love leopard print in all forms whether its a skirt, top, shoes or phone case.

My Top 3 Bucket List Destinations

Northern Lights Bucket List

Northern_lights_bucket_list

Transun are currently running a competition in which you can win a trip for 2 to see the Northern Lights, which I must admit is very high up on my own bucket list so it would be beyond awesome to win this competition. In order to win you have to share your top 3 bucket list destinations and why these places have earnt a coveted spot on your list. Trying to whitle it down to just the 3 was a very difficult task indeed, the world is huge and there are so many wonderful places to visit and awe inspiring things to see. Aside from the obvious places like The Great Wall Of China, The Great Barrier Reef and Machu Picchu I have a few other places I would like to tick off before I ‘kick the bucket’ as it were.

1. Lake Hillier aka Pink Lake – Australia
