My festival style is all about comfort, you want to be able to bounce around to the music without worrying about anything other than which stage you’re going to head to next. I am pretty girly when it comes to my festival style, opting more for pieces with intricate detailing and layered jewellery. I love crochet and lace which I think is a festival staple for most people.

7. Sunglasses – Ray Ban    8. Heels – ASOS    9. Bag – ASOS

Yesterday was a good day for many reasons. It was Friday, it’s a bank holiday weekend and it was also paaaay daaaaay…..That can only mean one thing surely?! SHOPPING! I have picked out a few of my favourites at the moment, I actually have the glasses now and they are my new fave pair by far. I do still love my Clubmasters dearly closely followed by my Wayfarers and Aviators but this cool new round shape is exactly what I was looking for. I got mine as a little treat in America recently and I now want the black or tortoise shell plastic ones, they are next on my hit list.

If you follow me on Instagram then you will have seen my beeeeautiful new shoes from ASOS, the best bit is that they come in half sizes (hallelujah!). I now want this gorgeous gold pair, I had better snap them up as I can see these selling out fast. The New Look flats are amazing too, I am definitely going to be adding these to my ever growing collection of black point loafers. I wore the Miss Selfridge leather for my collab with Debenhams and it was so soft and comfortable and such a bargain price too.

Avenue 32 SS15 Wishlist

Gillianleerose_avenue32_wishlist_fashionAll items available from Avenue32

I must spend hours each week scrolling through the ‘New In’ section of Avenue 32 lusting after pretty much everything. I have mentally spent thousands on that site creating dream outfits in my head, so I decided to put together a summer wishlist for you to see the pieces I want at the moment.

Summer for me is all about colours, whether that be pastel or bright. I like to mix a lot of colours, prints and textures too and make my outfits really pop and clash. Summer is all about having fun with fashion in my eyes. It’s the time to mix it up and be a bit more daring or risky. I am especially loving the Charlotte Simone fluffy bags, my favourite is this pastel lilac version but you can also pick them up in pink and blue. They tick all the right boxes for me at the moment – pastel, fluffy and fun! It’s a good piece to start off with if you’re not really a bright or bold colour kind of girl when it comes to fashion. You could wear a more plain outfit with muted tones and add this bag to inject some colour into the look.

I got this body chain from ASOS as part of my Christmas package, I’ve been wanting to try one for so long and I’m glad I got one because I love it. I went with a pretty simple, basic outfit and dressed it up with accessories. The faux fur stole is one I previously featured on the blog that I managed to wangle off my Mum. She got it for a wedding and then didn’t need it after so I decided to adopt it.

How amazing is this print blazer? I got it so long ago as one of my options for the Company magazine style blogger awards but I went with something different in the end. I decided to keep this jacket as I had already fallen in love with it. There were also matching trousers to make a co-ord but they didn’t have my size and despite endless searching I never managed to get my hands on them. I still want them so I am always checking ebay and depop but so far no luck. The jacket is gorgeous and so perfect when you are wearing jeans and a plain top but want to just chuck something on to make it a bit more dressy. This blazer does exactly that and it’s quite a statement piece so there isn’t much need for many accessories.

Today’s post is a simple look I wore for a night in the pub with a few of the girls. Over the Christmas period I had my hair a lilac tone which shows up slightly in these pics. I loved how different the colour looked in various lighting. Some pictures it came out really pink, others a very subtle lilac and in dark lighting you couldn’t tell at all. A day or so after I took these pictures I added a bit more purple into it and it showed up really well. It’s almost completely washed out now, it was just a temporary wash out vegetable based colour but I loved having it for a while so I will definitely be doing it again sometime. Now onto the outfit…

I was off to the pub last week with the girls for our little weekly tradition of pub quiz, nachos and a catch up. It’s a nice chilled cosy pub and on this particular night I was freeezing (I pretty much feel like this all of the time, I’m sure it’s not normal to be this cold). I picked up this absolute saviour of a scarf from the purse friendly Primark for a complete steal of only £6! It is huge too! When laid out flat it is so big and could very easily double up as a picnic blanket in the Summer, multifunctional is never a bad thing. I currently have said blanket wrapped around me while I write this. I have been tucked up ill in bed for a few days hence the old photos being used for this post. I didn’t want to leave you guys hanging so luckily I had this outfit that I hadn’t posted. You definitely wouldn’t want to have seen my attire for the majority of this week…..It consisted of tartan pj bottoms, a burgundy long sleeve top, a pink polka dot dressing gown, fluffly pink socks and a hot water bottle permanently attached to my front. Being ill sucks but Christmas is almost upon us and that, my friend, does not suck in any way shape or form.

How cute is the shade of this coat?! I was shopping about and have seen this coat a few times instore, I’m surprised it didn’t sell out already as finds like this usually do. My local store seemed to have loads left, I caved and eventually decided to buy it. For a mere £25 you can’t really lose out when a coat is this pretty. I was highly impressed at how good the quality was also, that may sound a bit snobby but with Primark the quality is sometimes reflected in the low cost price. This is definitely not one of those items though, it is lined and keeps me really warm. I sized right down to a 6 on this one as its a cocoon oversized fit and anything bigger seemed to drown me. This one fits perfectly even with chunky knits worn underneath. I am going back at the weekend and if it’s still available I am going to snap up the grey version as it’s so cheap and grey is a good base colour to have and wear with all sorts.

I am so in love with this cuddly pink teddy coat, it is the warmest, snuggliest coat I’ve had in ages. It’s also super girly in this cute candy pink colour and it’s a perfect way to soften up a boyish kind of outfit. I like the contrast I have here with the faux leather skirt and chunky boots, it balances out the outfit niceley. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a breton top is an absolute must for every wardrobe as they are so versatile and easy to wear.

Now I know I have featured this skirt on the blog numerous times over the last few months but it is such a great skirt so no justification is needed. This time as the weather has turned colder I paired the scallop edge skirt with a grey jumper for a change. This means I can carry on wearing it throughout the colder months and then back to teaming it with crops and cami tops come next Summer.
