Festival season is fast approaching so if you’re heading off to one this summer it’s time to get planning your outfit to wow the crowds. If you want to win £200 to spend at Topshop to nail your perfect festival look then read on (click ‘read more’ at the end to see the whole post). My festival style is all about comfort, you want to be able to bounce around to the music without worrying about anything other than which stage you’re going to head to next. I am pretty girly when it comes to my festival style, opting more for pieces with intricate detailing and layered jewellery. I love crochet and lace which I think is a festival staple for most people.

I was off to the pub last week with the girls for our little weekly tradition of pub quiz, nachos and a catch up. It’s a nice chilled cosy pub and on this particular night I was freeezing (I pretty much feel like this all of the time, I’m sure it’s not normal to be this cold). I picked up this absolute saviour of a scarf from the purse friendly Primark for a complete steal of only £6! It is huge too! When laid out flat it is so big and could very easily double up as a picnic blanket in the Summer, multifunctional is never a bad thing. I currently have said blanket wrapped around me while I write this. I have been tucked up ill in bed for a few days hence the old photos being used for this post. I didn’t want to leave you guys hanging so luckily I had this outfit that I hadn’t posted. You definitely wouldn’t want to have seen my attire for the majority of this week…..It consisted of tartan pj bottoms, a burgundy long sleeve top, a pink polka dot dressing gown, fluffly pink socks and a hot water bottle permanently attached to my front. Being ill sucks but Christmas is almost upon us and that, my friend, does not suck in any way shape or form.

On Wednesday I was very kindly invited by the lovely girls at Reiss to the bloggers lunch to showcase their spring summer ’14 collection. The afternoon was held in the luxurious tower suite of the amazingly beautiful Landmark Hotel in Marylebone. It was an afternoon of high tea, finger sandwiches and very yummy scones complete with clotted cream and strawberry jam. To say I was a tad full by the end of the afternoon is a massive understatement. I indulged big time!

I picked up this cute daisy print shirt last year in a Topshop sale. I’d been looking at it for a little while and wasn’t too sure but as soon as it went into the sale I was straight on it. It’s an oversized style shirt making it one of the most comfortable tops to wear. It’s black base means that you can pair it up with so many options.

Not a very long post today, the last few have been on the longer side of things so I have decided to keep it short and sweet for you. I was heading out for cocktails so I decided to dress up a little bit I went for a more smart/dressy combo as I don’t tend to go for smarter styles too often and it’s nice to change things up a bit sometimes. I didn’t go the whole hog as I opted for flats rather than heels as I just wasn’t in a mega ‘heels’ mood.

Hot pink is just the best colour! It’s got such a summery vibe and definitely makes even the most Casper like skin look a little tanned. This outfit as you may have noticed it almost entirely Topshop, this was not intentional but I do tend to spend most of my pennies in there. Here is another of Toppers popular summer Cami’s that sold like hot cakes this year. At just £18 it was an absolute bargain and the colour is perfect.

September the 1st?! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. As it’s moving towards the Autumn season I decided to go for more rustic fall colours. This crop is one of the cutest tops I own. The detail on it is perfect and makes it look really special. It’s a great top to add to a plain outfit take it to a whole new level. I am lucky enough to know the designer and I’m even more lucky to be able to call her my friend.
