Here’s a quick little run down of my latest Instagram outfit posts. As you know not all my looks make it to the blog due to only being able to shoot pics at weekends so I try to do a little round up of my latest outfits so if you don’t follow me on Instagram you can still see the looks but also shop the links here which Instagram doesn’t allow.

Sorry for being AWOL on my blog for the last week and also my social channels too. I had a trip away with the girls and literally had not a spare minute to upload a single thing let alone get blog photos done and write one up. Back to usual service now though! Sometimes such simple pieces work so well together! I got this cute as a button super soft jumper (with hidden little side pockets) recently from River Island. It’s now in the sale FYI so get clicking! I also snapped up the deep maroon version too and they are just too snuggly. I paired the cosy knit up with a pair of sassy faux leather trousers for a tough rock edge to the look.

The rain held up for all of 5 minutes on Saturday so I took full advantage and ran out to snap some pics while I had the (rare) chance. Being able to only take blog pictures on weekends means it can be so difficult when the weather isn’t up to scratch, if I miss one weekend of shooting outfits then I have no content for the week that follows which drives me utterly insane. I wish I could blog full time as I would love nothing more than to find amazing locations and hire a photographer for the day and get so many outfits shot. However, having a full time job as well as a busy lifestyle means that fitting the blog (which is as much of a full time job on its own) in with everything is sometimes very hard to do. I try my best to not let it go too long inbetween posts but the reality is it’s hard. Taking photos yourself on your driveway with a tripod, timer and remote is not the easiest especially when it’s rains non stop all day and the wind doesn’t let up (it does provide many pics of ‘blog fails’ though). Trying to get good pictures is beyond difficult so I do very much appareciate all of you that read the blog despite all this.

I got sent this cute jumper to style up from the kind people at Romwe. I love its simple cable knit print and tiny coloured flecks running throughout. I would usually wear this in a super casual way but I decided to mix it up a bit and go for something different.
I went for some faux leather trousers (admittedly these are a bit big for me now, I haven’t worn them in a while so it’s time to buy a new pair I think) to give the look a bit of a twist. The faux leather adds a real tough edge to the overall look, the same way that throwing a leather jacket over a girly dress really changes the dynamic. I still kept the look casual by wearing simple converse kicks and since it has suddenly turned pretty icy cold out I snuggled up with the oversize khaki scarf (probably my favourite scarf at the moment, it’s huge!). I added my double compartment shoulder bag and natural, minimal make up.
My hair is almost all washed out now except for a few sections still clinging on to the purple. I am undecided whether to go all over purple again or jut let it keep fading back to blonde and stay that way. Let me know your thoughts!
Christmas is finally upon us! All the shopping is done, presents are wrapped and nestled nicely under the tree, all beauty preparation is complete and it’s now time to do one thing…..PARTY!! Whether you are out Christmas eve, Christmas day or saving it all till New Year’s Eve you will want to look your best. If there is one time of year you can wear as many sequins and sparkles as you can get your hands on, it’s December. This dress has such a wow factor with its bright gold hue and all over sequin detail, it is the one you need to be wearing over the festive period.
As you will have heard me say many, many times before…..everyone needs at least 1 breton stripe top in their
wardrobe life! They are such a staple item (hence the title) and can be worked into almost any outfit. They can be worn for a casual look like I have opted here as I was just out to do a bit of shopping and a few jobs that needed doing, they can be made to look slightly more dressy by swapping the blue jeans for black rip knee jeans and the kicks for chelsea boots (you can see this look on my Instagram). These tops go with denim cut offs and flip flops in the summer months for a laid back vibe or tucked into a high waist skirt, whether its skater style and worn with ankle boots for a cute girly twist or a leather pencil skirt and some heels for an office to bar ensemble. The possibilities are endless!

This playsuit was such a bargain impulse buy but I have ended up getting so much wear out of it so I’m glad I snapped it up. It was really cheap at only £14.99 and has lovely lace detailing which makes it more dressy than a standard black playsuit. It has a cross over plunge style front and a lace panel across the middle, as well as an all over lace low cut back. As you know from previous posts backless tops, dresses and playsuits are my absolute faaaave.
As much as I love to get dolled up and going out, I really love a casual day too. I was off to visit my friend to meet her new little baby and have a cuppa/ catch up with the girls. I also had to pop into town after so I went for a simple comfy outfit to run around in.
