Monochrome never fails to date. It always looks simple but chic and you can rely on monochrome when you’re having one of those days, we’ve all had time and time again, when absolutely everything you try on looks hideous. Monochrome comes and goes in the fashion world and as a trend will continue to do so for the long foreseeable future. Items like black boots and fedoras just finish off a look so well in the winter. Boots mean that you can brave it and bare your legs but still keep toasty with warm socks and a pair of go-with-everything ankle boots. This cosy teddy coat is one of the warmest coats I’ve bought in a while. Missguided have really stepped up their coat game this year and that is where I have bought the majority of mine so far. It really does keep you super toasty and the colour goes with so much too.

A fedora can be your saviour during the winter months when it’s so blustery outside that no matter how you style your hair the second you step out its all gone to pot! A hat can cover up bad hair days and stop you from looking like medusa…..just make sure the wind isn’t so strong that your hat goes for a little fly in the sky.

This jumper was sent to me by the nice people at Joy London. It is beautiful. I have been looking for a black jumper for a while as I keep putting outfits together and it seems that is what is missing from my wardrobe. So many times I’ve thought to myself ‘a black jumper would go perfectly with this’ and I didn’t own one. This has gorgeous lace shoulder detail with tiny fringing around the shoulders where the lace and cut out detail ends. It’s such a nice fit and tucks perfectly into skirts or can be worn loose with jeans. It has a nice short cut to it as well so it doesn’t drown you or cover up the outfit which I really like. I’m all for an oversized chunky knit but sometimes all you need is a nice boxy fitted jumper.

The skirt is something I picked up in October for my return back to my little Greek island and second home. White, however, doesn’t have to be limited to summer only. I think it looks just as fab in the winter if you wear it the right way. It really pops against the black in this look and doesn’t look out of place. Most people associate white with summer only but it’s such an icy cold colour that depending on how you wear it can look great, if not better, with a winter outfit. I especially love the zip up detail and front side pockets on this skirt.
