Little White Dress

Forget the LBD, a fresh summer twist on the classic wardrobe staple is the LWD….little white dress! I got this very last minute (much like my last few blog posts, I had an unplanned late online spree) before I flew off to Italy and as I mentioned in my previous posts I didn’t have many fitted/bodycon pieces so when this little gem appeared on the Missguided new in section I didn’t hesitate to rehome it lovingly in my wardrobe. It is a nice lightweight crepe material, not too tight and not too hot in the Greek heatwave that was occuring. The criss cross strap and low v neck detail makes it a little more interesting than regular straight over cami straps.

I love everything about this dress, the material, the detailing, the fit…just everything! It will get more use for sure this winter as white isn’t only reserved for summer soirees don’t ya know?! I have a bond themed Christmas do at work and the dress code is smart so unless someting else catches my eye in the mean time (this is very highly likely asd I am forever shopping) I will possibly go for this again, probably with hair up this time though to show off the dress in all its glory.

I love the contrast of the barbie pink heels, they really pop and I went with a bright pink lip to accompany them. White is always a fab colour when you have that golden summer glow. Mine has unfortunately long gone…which only means it’s time to book another holiday! I will have to get some kind of tan before wearing this again that’s for sure, Casper the ghost is not the look I want to go for. They do this dress in a couple of other colours now too. I am kicking myself for not buying the burgundy lace overlay version when I bought this one, it would have been the perfect winter alternative to this one.
