Festival season is fast approaching so if you’re heading off to one this summer it’s time to get planning your outfit to wow the crowds. If you want to win £200 to spend at Topshop to nail your perfect festival look then read on (click ‘read more’ at the end to see the whole post). My festival style is all about comfort, you want to be able to bounce around to the music without worrying about anything other than which stage you’re going to head to next. I am pretty girly when it comes to my festival style, opting more for pieces with intricate detailing and layered jewellery. I love crochet and lace which I think is a festival staple for most people.

This beautiful dress was no exception, it ticks all the boxes. Its crisp white colour to the cute lace trim detailed edges to the overlay design. The straps are also something I really liked about this dress, I like how they go from the middle of the dress at the front to either side at the back. For me the best way to style this up was with another festival must wear, black ankle boots and a fedora. Messy hair is my favourite go-to no effort style for a festival and a hat is a great way to cover up the not so freshly washed locks. Fringing is always a huge trend seen at festivals so this bag was a must have, go for tan and you really can’t go wrong.

If dresses are not your forte then fear not, you really can not fail with a playsuit as amazing as this denim number. I adore the wrap style at the front, the low plunging neckline is brilliant for adding a body chain underneath if you fancy a change and aren’t feeling a regular necklace (which also looks just as fab by the way). It is probably the most comfortable playsuit I have ever worn. I rolled the hem up a couple of times on this one and added a plain belt and looped it over to cinch in the waist slightly. I stacked a few skinny bracelets up and also added an arm bangle for that extra little festival vibe to the whole look.

Dry shampoo is a life saver at a festival and when your hair is looking more limp than lively just give it a spray and twist half of it up into a messy topknot. Sunnies are another deal breaker for a festival that you absolutely cannot go without, they hide those tired all-partied-out eyes and keep you looking as if you can go for another day. If you are lucky with the weather than a pair of gladiator sandals are another winner for me. They look summery and are always comfortable meaning you can dance all night long and not feel the pain like you probably would on a night out in your usual heels.

If Mother Nature isn’t feeling quite so forgiving then you can style up pretty much any look with a pair of wellies. You can get so many options such as short, mid height and tall that there will be a pair to go with your festival ensemble. A good khaki or black pair will go with almost anything and save you getting 6 inch mud platforms on any of your favourite shoes.UK_fashion_blog_Topshop_festival_style

  1. Your festival post actually helped me to choose what outfit to wear to a festival I have recently been too – thank you.
I loved everything!! But if I had to choose one it would have to be this, love the different colours and material of the dress. Also I love floppy hats and I think a black one will go perfectly with this outfit! With sunglasses ofc – must have!

  2. Eeeek! I love all of your outfits that you’ve shown but the playsuit is probs my fave! I reckon I’d have to go with the main item being this gorgeous tribal playsuit! It’s so pretty yet simple so easy to accessorize with.

Fringe is SO in at the moment – I’d team together this fringed jacket/gilet with some fringed boots too!

Accessories are a must and some round sunglasses (everywhere right now), a floppy hat and a tribal necklace are the winners for me!

I love this boho style top, it’s quite loose and baggy which I prefer as it’s usually hot and your jumping about all day I’d rather a loose top that a crop or anything tight plus it has beautiful detail on it, so unusual.

These boots are so beautiful! And they fit in with the boho look perfectly with the feathering details on them, perfect for when it’s not raining!

  4. I love both of your festival styles, both so different! I don’t think I’d get away with the white dress at a festival though, it’d get dirty within 5 minutes for me.. even on a sunny day!!
