On a sunny day I am one of those typical Brits that gets super excited at the first sign of sun and out come all the summer clothes. I was off out for lunch with my sisters and was feeling in a summery mood so decided to just go for it and wear a dress. You will have to excuse the lack of tan but at this time of year not much I can do, roll on holidays! The weather has taken a turn for the worse today but hopefully it isn’t the last we see of the sun and can start transitioning into our summer wardrobe and put our winter coats to rest for a good few months.
This dress is such an oldie but it always gets an outing come spring/summer time. I have it in a dusky pink too, it’s essentially just a large t-shirt but a very pretty one at that. It was a bargain I picked up in H&M a few years ago and the pretty crochet sections make it super girly. I wear it mostly with a belt like I have here as I like a bit of shape but sometimes I just leave it loose and layer up some necklaces. It’s really comfortable and easy to throw on in the morning when you’re pushed for time. In winter I still wear it but with tights and instead of a leather jacket I wear a cosy faux fur coat or my snuggly pink teddy coat to add some colour.
Dresses and boots is one of my favourite looks. I like to toughen up girlier pieces with things like boots, leather jackets, hats, jewellery etc like I have here. Don’t get me wrong I do love super girly outfits too and come the height of summer I am clashing prints and textures all over the place.
I really like the edge that the leather gives to a girly look – very nice outfit!
Thank you lovely 🙂
