Aren’t these shoes simply uh-mazing!? I cannot even begin to explain how in love with them I am. As soon as I saw them I instantly thought of Carrie Bradshaw (which is actually also what they are called online) and being a huge fan of Sex And The City/Carrie Bradshaw/heels/pink/fluffy…..I could go on and on but you get the idea. Marabou feather trim is going to be huge this season and I have already seen so many amazing bits that will be rehomed in my immaculately organised wardrobe. The heels also come in red and black if pink isn’t really your colour. I took these pics before running out the house for my friend Shakila’s birthday night out so I didn’t have time to zoom in on the shoes but I grabbed a couple of shots on my phone which you can see (above and below).
I wore a monochrome outfit in order to make the shoes stand out even more. I got this gorgeous top from ASOS, it comes in a few colours but I bought the 2 pack which had white and black in it as I live in cami tops and you can never have too many staple black or white tops. What makes this one so nice is the low scooped back on it. Being in such a rush I totally forgot to get a pic of the back (serves me right for being late to start getting ready) but I have included a picture below from the ASOS site where you can see how it looks. As you may have noticed if you read my blog I can never resist anything that exposes your back.
The skirt is bit of an oldie from H&M but they do some kind of version of a black leather skirt pretty much every Autumn Winter. I actually need to update mine as this is too big for me now and I had to do a little DIY stitching at the back to make it fit better for the night. I have a number of leather skirts in various styles and colours but a high waisted black one is such a good item to have in your wardrobe, you can get tonnes of wear out of them and I am looking forward to getting a new one for this winter.
I wore my gold ‘Gillian’ necklace which only adds to the ‘Carrie’ look as she is always in hers in most episodes of SATC. I didn’t actually realise this until writing this up now. The reason I chose that necklace was because the shoes were quite eye catching on their own and the back of the top was low cut. I didn’t want to draw any attention away from those features so I kept jewellery dainty and minimal with this necklaces and then just stacked a few gold rings up.
