In The Style recently did a collaboration with Geordie Shore babe Charlotte, her collection is called Nostalgia. I was sent a couple of pieces from the range to wear to the launch (which was amazing FYI) and I absolutely love it! One of the pieces was this gorgeous checked long line shirt that I styled up with some leather trousers for a chic sophisticated look. On the site this shirt is worn as a dress and due to it’s length it can be worn that way which is a plus as you get a shirt and dress in one. The back is also dipped so it is longer than the front of the shirt too which is a nice touch. The material is really good quality and quite thick which makes it hang so nicely. There is a button 3/4 of the way up so you can roll the sleeves up and button them into place if you don’t fancy long sleeves.

I love my leather trousers and they always look great with shirts as well as t-shirts and cami tops. They go with basically everything in my wardrobe, I also love wearing leather trousers, heels and a big chunky knit jumper for a nice Autumn/Winter look. I added a gold necklace to add a bit of colour and I think a statement necklace looks so good under a shirt collar.

To stop the outfit being too monochrome I also mixed it up by adding a bright pop of colour with these neon heels. I love a simple strappy heel they always look so chic and add a nice girly feel to the outfit rather than a large chunky heel. I used to wear big platforms shoes all the time but now I definitely favour a simple strap heel. They go so well with trousers, dresses and skirts whereas the big chunky platforms heels didn’t always look so good with jeans. I also didn’t want to hide the bright coloured straps so I fastened them around the outside to make them stand out against the black of the trousers.
