First, choose your play suit, put it on, grab some balloons and then try to take pictures on a windy day and be happy you are not showing the whole world your goodies!
Hey! We’re Danniella and Chantelle from 2matesandablog and we are so happy to be guest blogging on Styled Rose. Gill’s love of Co- Ords, Prints all in all a ‘put together look’ resonates with us and although we both have a completely different body shape to Gill we definitely can see similarities in our style.
Now, we are guessing you have not seen our Blog before but we post regularly on what we wear day to day, our latest beauty obsessions and occasionally our lifestyle – including our travels. For Styled rose we decided to focus on a trend that is rife in the UK around now. Playsuits.
Playsuits definitely come to the forefront when the weather is hot enough to show off your legs and if you are feeling braver your back, arms and décolletage (the Summer months is what we are trying to say) and whilst they may not be everyone’s ‘cup of tea’ (mainly due to getting them off for a trip to the lavatory) there is definitely a style to suit every body shape.
Gillian mentioned that playsuits are her go to item for holiday wear as they are fuss free and we hear you girl! All you need to think about is how you are going to OWN the look by adding an individual twist using accessories or how about ‘jazzing’ it up by adding a t-shirt underneath, a kimono/jacket on top or even a cropped top or jumper if the weather is playing up. There is so much potential and a good playsuit can definitely become an investment piece’.
Danniella opted for a striped playsuit with a khaki green jacket, using a belt to take in the waist whilst adding a pop of colour. The gold jewellery was a nice contrast and she finished the look with a classic pointed heel.
Chantelle’s playsuit was a much bolder print with a beautiful caged detail at the back. The colour of her fur scarf complimented it well and she chucked on a hat which not only helped her hair with humidity but also added a ‘cool’ vibe.
Wearing a playsuit a size bigger gives you the room to breathe but also is a lot more flattering. However, if you are adding layers be sure to make sure you don’t look like a bin bag and add a belt and a necklace or two!
