Mesh is one of the biggest trends of the season. I absolutely adore it and it goes perfectly with the other huge trend at the moment; pastels. A match made in fashion heaven.
I love this three tier texture top, it’s a nice twist on a standard white t-shirt. The top mesh layer fits in nicely with the huge mesh trend sweeping the high street right now. I love mixing textures so this top was an absolute must for me. The middle section is a scuba (also seen everywhere right now) ruched material and the bottom section is a thin soft pleather. Pretty much three of my favourites at the moment all rolled into this gorgeous top.
I still love love love my ASOS ripped kneee skinny black jeans, they add a real grungey/scruffy edge to outfits yet they still look great with a smart cami and heels for a night out, so versatile! I teamed them with my much worn, oh-so-comfy mock croc slip ons. I didn’t intentionally go for the monochrome look so I added this oversized denim jacket and amazing pastel statement necklace.
The jacket was a Topshop purchase from a while back but it was always too dark for my liking and I never ended up wearing it. So recently I decided to get my DIY on and bought it up to date using a bottle of bleach and a bath tub. I soaked the jacket through as the bleach takes better on damp denim. Then I sprayed the jacket in random areas with bleach and made some bits heavier bleached then others. I kept checking back and rinsing it off and doing so again little by little until all the areas I wanted lighter were. I then washed it in the machine on it’s own to make sure any remaining bleach was gone. I am so happy with how it has turned out and I absolutely love it now. It’s a nice oversized fit too which I like the look of when wearing it.
The jeans are my ripped knee skinnies from ASOS which haven’t really left my body much since I got them. Really enjoying the whole ripped knee trend at the moment.
I got the necklace as a gift from Debenhams at an event they held in February. It’s such a gorgeous pastel blue colour and looks amazing over a plain t-shirt to stand out a little but more. I adore pastels anyway and the fact they are a big trend and all around at the moment makes me very happy. A statement necklace is a quick and simple way to transform any plain outfit.
I later on switched my hair into a messy side fishtail plait (see below) as I love rocking a fishtail every now and again. They take a little longer to do than a regular plait but always look so nice.
