Shoes: River Island
I was off out for a few casual drinks so I got a bit dolled up. I picked up this cream quilted top in Topshop a couple weeks ago and I love it. It’s such a nice piece to keep an outfit casual but the small quilting detail just gives it an extra edge. I like that the zip detail on the back is gold too. It’s a fairly thick material compared to other standard t-shirt style tops, the thickness means it keeps a nice shape when it’s on.
I wore my hair up so I balanced that out by accessorising with a chunky gem necklace. On the bottom half I went for my ankle grazer jeans as I think these look best when you are going for a more dressy style. The cut always looks more sophisticated I think. I got these adorable pointed flats recently and showed them off on my Instagram and last youtube video. I still can’t believe they were only £24.99! I love every bit of detail on them. The pointed toe, the snake print, the gold buckle, it just all goes together so well.
My trusty boyfriend blazer was my jacket of choice as for me it accents the boyish feel that was created by the masculine shoes and chunky watch. I turn to this blazer quite a lot as it’s a good neutral colour and looks great thrown over most things from a casual outfit when you’re out shopping with friends to a glam dress for a night out. My arm candy was a little bargain I got from eBay not so long ago. I got it in black as you can never go wrong with a standard black tote. I also bought it in tan for my mum which is a really nice classic colour that can be worn with a lot of options. Make up wise I kept it fairly simple and then just added a dusky purple lip to finish.
