How beautiful is the detailing on this top?! The jewelled neckline means there is no need for a necklace which is so good for getting ready in a hurry. It means minimal fuss over accessories as it’s already built in to the top.
As my readers will know I’m a sucker for a beautiful jewelled or chunky statement necklace so when I saw this top online had sold out I headed straight to the store and tracked it down with the help of a lovely assistant in the Guildford branch of Topshop, who I always find very pleasant and very helpful. The colour is gorgeous too and the lace overlay adds a real delicate touch to the look.
These jeans are my new favourites, they are amazing! They are a stretchy fabric rather than a thick raw denim which is nice as they are so comfortable to wear. They have an extreme high waist which I love because it means they are the perfect jeans for pairing up with crop tops. I have a billion crop tops and don’t always fancy wearing disco pants because sometimes they can look a but OTT for certain occasions so these jeans are a saviour for when I want to keep it slightly more casual.
My hair is in a topknot as usual when wearing a detailed top so it doesn’t distract from the neckline. I kept make-up simple by wearing a nude sheer lipstick and just my watch as an accessory.
I can’t believe the summer is almost over, it has flown by so fast. The weather here in Corfu is still beautiful and I’m still spending most days by the beach so I definitely cannot complain. I am sad to see summer go but I am also excited for all the amazing AW’13 trends to start emerging and getting back into some cost knits. Christmas will be upon us before we know it! In the mean time I’ve got the much anticipated Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2013 to look forward to. Flights are all booked home for 5 days. Only a flying visit but this is one event I definitely cannot miss out on.
Does anyone else have these jeans? Or do you favour the Topshop Joni or the American Apparel Easy Jeans instead? Let me know your thoughts.
