Top: ASOS // Skirt: River Island
I love cami’s as they are so easy to wear with everything. I saw this striped one on ASOS a couple of weeks ago and straight into my basket it went. I usually pair up cami’s mostly with skinny jeans or shorts but this time I decided to opt for a button up front skater skirt.
The straps on the top were a little long but nothing a safety pin or quick stitch couldn’t fix. I probably could have gone down a size and it most likely would have fit a little better but I got my usual size out of habit and without trying it on first it’s hard to tell.
The skirt is older, one I got in the sale a couple of years back. It’s one of those go-with-everything skirts that looks good on a night out with a cami, crop or bralet but just as good dressed down worn with a Breton stripe tee tucked in and pretty much any flat whether its a sandal, loafer or even a low top converse. You can really do all sorts with this skirt, grey marl makes it easier to pair with a lot of other colours.
I didn’t wear a belt like I usually do with higher waist skirts because of the button up detailing down the front. I quite liked the look just on it’s own. I went for tan heels because it’s the perfect colour to give the illusion of longer legs.
The Libby shoes are a couple of years old from Topshop so they are no longer available but they quite regularly make versions similar to these each season. The Lassie and Lacie styles are a favourite of mine that have been in store for over a year now. I have them in two colours and again like these they are so comfortable and you can wear them all night long.
The Sarah Chloe necklace was a present from my boyfriend for my birthday. It’s a custom made necklace which he had the initial ‘G’ engraved into as I can never find initial items available in the letter G. I adore it as it’s quite small and dainty and the length of the necklace is perfect it sits in just the right place to wear with low cut tops and even over higher necked tops and dresses.
