I thought I would re-visit my youth by wearing my denim pinafore dress. I went the whole nine yards with the young aspect of this outfit and even paired it up with a baby pink top underneath.

I love pinafores and the younthful feel of them. As soon as you fasten those clunky metal clips at the front you immediately feel like a 6 year old, a giant one that is.

It took me a while to decide what I thought about pinafores because I think when paired with the wrong items it can be a complete car crash outfit but when worn with the right thing they can look amazing. It’s a fine line and I sometimes find myself pulling something out to wear with the dress that I think ‘oh that will look so good’ but when it’s actually on ends up looking awful.

I tried two tops first before finally deciding I liked this pale pink sleevless shirt the best, third time lucky as they say. When it was on I still felt like something was missing so I added the chunky gold necklace under the shirt collar to keep it from looking too plain. The sandals were just my trusty thin strap leopard prints to inject a bit of something different.
