I’ve already featured these trousers on my blog before but that was waaay back and it was also in rainy old England. As much as I adore England and everything about it, the weather certainly does cause some issues when it comes to fashion and dressing. The crazy UK climate can mean you wrap yourself up layer upon layer to brave the arctic temperatures and the next thing you know you’re stripping off and looking for your nearest bikini to get your tan on in the back garden. I decided it was time to get these trousers back out again but this time as part of a more summery outfit.
Last time I teamed these with a high neck, low drop arm tank, heels and a boyfriend blazer. This time I kept the colours light by wearing a cream crop with a sheer panel at the top and a gold and coral be, stone necklace. Instead of heels I opted for white plait sandals as I was working and flats are a must when you’re on your feet all night. Heels are definitely a no go area for work in my book.
I wore my hair in a topknot so I was able to show off the necklace in all it’s full glory. I love the pastel colour of the stones in this necklace. It’s a gorgeous piece and I love it a little bit more every time I wear it. It’s one of those great items that’s works well with all sorts. It’s perfect whether under a collar, over a plain boyfriend tee or worn with a lower cut top such as a cami. It’s a real statement piece and the colours make it one of my summer go-to accessories.
The trousers are a favourite out of my trouser collection of the printed variety. I love all the bold colours in them but the black background really adds depth to them as they will work in any season. They can be worn with heels and a shirt for a chic work outfit or a cute cami, heels and smokey evening make up for a night on the town. They can also be dressed right down with a plain top, a boyfriend blazer and a pair of loafers.
