I love an over-sized floaty chiffon shirt. It’s always a winner when the weather is hot. It’s great item to throw over an outfit when it cools down a little towards the evening after the sun has set just to take that slight chill off.
I love the bird and twig print on this. It’s minimal and in lighter colours so it’s not really too noticeable. It’s baggy fit is nice for wearing with a pair of super skinny bottoms to counteract the over-sized nature of the top. This stops you from looking bigger than you actually are. It looks great either buttoned right up and worn over some skinnies or worn with a pair of denim shorts peeking out the bottom of the shirt.
I chose to wear mine as an over throw. I had a cropped cami and jeans on but I didn’t want a heavy or thick jacket to wear as it’s too hot but later in the evening there is just a slight chill in the air. I added this shirt and instead of leaving it loose and flowing I tied the front into a little bow to bring the length up slightly and pull the size of the shirt in a little too. I liked the cute edge that the little tied bow gave the whole look.
I prefer my hair up when wearing any kind of shirt as it shows off the item better. I usually wear my hair in a topknot because I just tend to prefer my hair that way but this time I just threw it into a quick ponytail.
I added some simple leopard strap sandals to finish the look and a quick run of Calvin Klein lippy across my mouth and I was ready to go.
