Shoes: New Look
Lipstick: L’Oreal Rouge Caresse – 07 ‘Cheeky Magenta’
This dress is from the first collection Kate Moss did for Topshop back in 2007 and I still adore it just as much to this day. I love the bright print, the ruched arms and the perfect depth v-neck. You get a dress every once in a while that is just perfect in every way and this is definitely one of those dresses. It fits me so well even if my weight fluctuates by a stone! It is like it’s magic. It looks just as great with bare legs in the summer as it does with tights and ankle boots in the Winter.
I kept everything very minimal because it’s such a loud dress so I only added my watch and no other jewellery. I hate things looking too fussy or too much. I kept my lips in my favourite colour, pink. I like the L’Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks because they are nice and hydrating and give a slightly glossy finish. I have them in a few colours and one of my favourites is the barely there taupe nude colour they do in shade ‘103’. It gives just a flush of colour which is perfect for a relaxed causal night out for drinks if you didn’t want to go all out bright in the lip department.
I actually came into possession of this dress through my friend. She came on holiday with me and bought this beauty with her which I of course borrowed as I couldn’t get it on the day the collection went on sale. I managed to nab a bunch of other mossy items but I couldn’t get my mitts on this which was very frustrating. After wearing it a few times and her needing some holiday cash I happily bought it off her and my love affair could continue at full speed ahead.
I adore these cute little knot front flats, I got these last year and they are the perfect shade of blush to compliment summer tanned feet. They look just as lovely teamed with dresses as they do with shorts and jeans. They are the ultimate summer flat, I also got them in a cream nude colour too which goes with pretty much anything.
I am so glad she let me buy this because it has been much loved by me AND my sister many times over. It’s our fail safe dress when in times of despair and need we always know we can turn to the ‘mossy’ as we call it and all will be well.
