Shorts: River Island
Shoes: River Island
Watch: Michael Kors
I fancied a bit of floral so I dug out these high waisted ditsy floral shorts I got a few years back. They have a zip plus a 3 button front fastening and have a pretty high waist that sits an inch or so above the belly button. The cut is quite high on the leg but the height of the waist balances this out resulting in ideal summer shorts.
They have belt loops that sit a lot lower than the top of the waist band.A belt would sit slightly above the hip if worn.
I usually wear these shorts with a white top as it really seems to make the colours in the shorts pop but I actually went for this black cami which I wore recently in my ‘Cami Comeback’ post. I like the smartness that the black adds to the outfit. I kept jewellery minimal only wearing my MK watch and a cubed bar necklace. I think about 90% of my necklaces, especially the ones on the chunkier statement side of things, are from H&M. They just make the most gorgeous pieces of jewellery and all at unbelievably good prices. You definitely get good value for money in my eyes.
The shoes are ones I’ve shown you over and over again and after having them for about 3 years and only wearing them once all of a sudden I have found I’ve been gravitating towards these with so many of my outfits. So be prepared to keep seeing a cameo from these in many future posts.
I haven’t shopped since April which is almost finishing me off as I have a lust list that is about a mile long now! To be honest I dont really need to buy anything as I probably have triple the amouny of clothes compared to the average girls wardrobe.
The reason for the shopping ban is because I started working the summer season a month later than usual due to the fact it’s just so quiet here now and many places didn’t open at the beginning so I have to be good and save save save. However I might have to have a very mini teeny weeny spree soon as I usually buy stuff every few days. Topshops sales have probably decreased since April but I don’t think I can hold off much longer so I will dust off my bank card and get browsing soon.
I have plenty of new stuff that I accumulated throughout my winter and I did a lot of shopping before my departure for Corfu and most of it still has the tags attached now so I have stuff to keep my shopping habit satisfied for the time being.
Maybe when I get back home in the winter I should look into SA (Shopaholics Anonymous) meetings in my area!
