I got this gorgeous blazer when I was back in England for two days when I flew home for the Company Magazine blog awards. I saw it online and originally tried to get the whole suit but unfortunately the trousers were sold out completely and the blazer wasn’t available in my size. Luckily I managed to get the jacket in store. I love how vibrant the blue background is and the white outlines around the black flowers just add an extra eye-catching detail.
The black elements in the jacket make it so wearable because you can pair it with so many options. Some people think blue and black don’t belong together in an outfit but this blazer proves them wrong. I am so glad I was able to get hold of it. I’m still after the trousers though, I will be keeping my eyes peeled.
The playsuit was an absolute bargain that I have to give the credit for finding to my sister, whilst dragging her round all the shops in a bid to find an outfit for the Company awards, she spotted it hidden away in H&M. The back has a really cute cut out triangle in the middle which just makes it a bit nicer than a plain black all in one. It was an absolute steal at £12.99. I also got it in a monochrome print, a white background with a mini black kind of aztec style print all over it, which you can view here.
The belt is my new fave accessory. It was a bargain-busting £2! It has cute little gold crosses along the middle and fastens with a button at the back. It’s great for rocking up a plain playsuit like I have worn it here or adding to a girly tea dress to add a rocky edge to it. I kept the necklace simple because of the detail in the belt and blazer.
It was Saturday night so of course heels were a necessity. I wore a single skinny bangle, my chunky MK boyfriend watch and two gold midi rings to complete the accessorising. I went for my standard ‘messy bed head’ hair as it was a bit rainy so curling it didn’t make much sense as it would have dropped straight away.
To finish the look off I did my make up in a brown based smokey eye and my favourite Saturday night touch, a hot pink lip.I did my nails in a white background with a pink mini damask print, it’s hard to see in detail here but you can see a close up of the print on my instagram (@gillianleerose).
