Jacket: Topshop

Top: Topshop

Jeans: Topshop ‘Jamie’
Boots: Zara

Lipstick: Topshop Lip Crayon ‘Arcade’

I got this amazing embellished jacket from my boyfriend for Christmas and have been dying to wear it ever since I got it. The weather though had other plans for me!

The detailing on it is so gorgeous. It is completely beaded all over and the neutral colour goes well with a lot so it can be mixed and matched with all sorts.

I love everything about 1920’s fashion. The low slung drop-waist dresses, delicate beading and embellished detail on flapper dresses and jackets, oozed glitz and glamour. It was the ultimate fashion statement of the era and sums up the 20’s perfectly. It instantly adds a special touch to outfits and an air of movie star style. An embellished jacket is almost an accessory rather than an item of clothing. You can wear a plain outfit and completely transform it with a trophy jacket such as this one. I can’t wait to wear it in the summer with a simple tank and cut off denim shirts.

The detailing on the top is also very interesting. It is a sheer material with raised velvet sections. I love cami’s and admittedly probably wear them too often but they are so easy to wear and for a simple outfit, paired with skinnies and heels they look dressed up without being too ‘try-hard’ which makes me feel more comfortable and I usually enjoy my night a lot more.

The jeans are the newest addition to my ever-growing ‘Jamie’ collection. This is the 6th pair I have now and live in mine constantly. They are my only go-to high street pair of jeans. The fit, style, material and length are all A+ in my book and see me through every season. I actually don’t know what I would do without them.

The lipstick is also Topshop, which is a running theme in this post without really meaning to be. It is one of their lip crayons and the colour ‘Arcade’ is a deep browny tinted berry colour. I was very unsure about this when I first saw it but kept thinking about it until I went back finally to buy it. I haven’t really worn it much since Christmas time but since the weather is like Antarctica outside I dug it back out again as warmer weather and a berry lip doesn’t seem right to me, but no worries about that in this country!

The boots are a favourite of mine that I bought about 6 months back from Zara. The colour is fab and so comfy. I love that they aren’t studded all over, as much as I love studs I do think they can be a bit OTT sometimes.

As standard my hair is in it’s usual ‘messy-undone’ hair (you will see if you haven’t already noticed this is how it usually is most of the time) I do curl it with a wand occasionally but rarely straighten it as I have fairly thin hair and unfortunately this just emphasises how thin it is. Of a night time I mess it up with salt spray and give it a beachy look but day time is usually a run my fingers through it and flick it about a bit.
